Azerbaijan to the maximum increased gas supplies from the country's largest Shah Deniz field to Turkey, head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev told reporters.
"Currently, the daily gas export volume amounts to nearly 18.4 million cubic meters. This volume also includes the gas, which wasn't fully supplied before," he said.
Azerbaijan delivered 6.17 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey in 2015, compared to 6.07 billion cubic meters in 2014.
Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum). The country has a contract for purchasing 6.6 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz gas and condensate field per year.
