A half of a ton of heroin was seized in the north-eastern Turkish province of Erzurum, Anadolu agency reported on April 7.
The drugs were confiscated as part of the local police's special operation, according to the agency.
It was also reported that the confiscated drugs are estimated at 8.654 million euro.
A criminal case was filed.
