Azerbaijani ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev has met with Montreal mayor Gerald Tremblay, a statement by the embassy said.
The sides discussed prospects of cooperation in economy, culture and education fields between Azerbaijan and Montreal.
Shafiyev noted broad potential for development of cooperation and stressed the importance of implementing several projects to deepen relations.
Tremblay said he was interested in expanding ties and in the future planned to visit Azerbaijan.
