Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries oppose unilateral missile defense complex capacity build-up, which is detrimental to international security and strategic stability, says the SCO declaration adopted at the summit in Dushanbe, as RIA Novosti reported.
"The unilateral and unlimited build-up of missile defense complexes by individual states or groups of states would damage international security and strategic stability," says the SCO declaration adopted at the summit in Dushanbe.
SCO members expressed confidence that "the national security should not be achieved at the expense of security of the other states".
"All the related problems should be solved with the participation of all interested states through political and diplomatic efforts," the document says.
