President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein December 12.
The Princess conveyed greetings on behalf of King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the president.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of holding an annual meeting of the FEI General Assembly in Baku. The Azerbaijani government's attention to the development of sports in the county, including equestrian was praised. The sides noted the significance of work to establish a modern sports infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, the parties described the holding of the First European Games in Azerbaijan as a result of the country`s contribution to the expansion of international cooperation in the field of sports.
The president thanked for the greetings of the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai, and asked the Princess to communicate his greetings to King Abdullah II and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
