Azerbaijan’s and Georgia’s defense ministries signed a cooperation plan for 2017, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said Dec. 16.

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and his Georgian counterpart Levan Izoria.

Minister Hasanov hailed high level strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia, saying this is of vital importance not only in terms of ensuring development of the two countries, but also in terms of ensuring security in the whole region.

Hasanov said he is hopeful that the cooperation plan will further promote the development of the relations.

He pointed out the fact that Armenia is the main threat to regional stability and security.

Hasanov noted that Armenia is supporting separatism at the state level.
