We are not supporters of confrontation during the actions and not seek it. At the same time we do not retreat from our rights.
Therefore, the Azadlig block gets ready for the next action on 1 October, the chairman of the National Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), reformists, Ali Kerimli told the news conference on 27 September on the results of the sitting of the alliance’s leaders, Trendreports.
According to him, even more people will take part in the next action. Kerimli noted, at the meeting of the Azadlig block the issues related to the results of the rally on 25 September 2005, the violations of law during the preparations to the elections, preparations to the next action were discussed.
Specifying of acts of violence on 25 September and the number of arrested is carried out. According to Kerimli, on the whole, 220 persons were detained, from which 9 persons were the candidates from the block. 75 action participants were injured, 8 are under arrest.
Kerimli noted, the Azadlig block will file a suit against the Baku executive authority for restricting the right for freedom of assembly and demands the police officers, who applied force against the demonstrators to hold responsible.
