On Friday the Court of Grave Crimes made a sentence on Nadir Salifov, famous as �Lotu Gulu’ in the criminal circles, and his group in the end of 2-hour legal hearings presided by Judge Abid Abdinbekov, Trend reports.
Nadir Salifov, former head of Police Precinct, Mushvig Madatov, 23, Fariz Mammadov, world boxing champion, Mushfig Salifov, the 4th year student of the Faculty of Law of the Baku State University (Salifov brother), Ilgar Badalov, Arshad Gahramanov, and Rahman Abulgasanov were pleaded guilty in the grave crimes. The criminal elements raped women through taking them to the prison under pressures and tapping money from several businessmen.
In his remarks the judge noted that accusations were proved in the court which lasted for 2 months. The suffered and witnesses gave testimonials against the convicted.
Taking into consideration the testimonials testifying for accusations, including the evidences, the court made sentences on imprisonment of Nadir Salifov for 16 years Fariz Mammadov - for 12, Mushvig Salifov вЂ" for 12, Mushvig Madatov вЂ" for 13, Rahman Abulhasanov вЂ" 13, Arshad Gahramanov вЂ" 8, Ilgar Badalov вЂ" for 6 years.
However, the convicted and his law-defenders were dissatisfied with the position by the judges and stated that the court considered the case under the pressures. The law-defenders are going to make appeals on the sentence.
