“The US Department of State did not provide any commentary on the case of the chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party, former-speaker Rasul Guliyev,” Shone McCormack, the spokesman for the US Department of State told a briefing in Washington.
He reminded that Guliyev attempted to return to Azerbaijan, while on the route he landed for filling in Ukraine, where he wad arrested by Interpol.
The same time McCormack voiced his hope that “the criminal case will be held open and with consideration of relevant procedures.
