The second day of competitions within the Open Joint Azerbaijan Championships in Gymnastics Disciplines kicked off on Mar.5.
On the second day, the competitions will be held for four sets of medals: two sets - in all-around competitions on rhythmic gymnastics (individual gymnasts' and groups' competitions) and another two sets - in combined acrobatic exercises among women and mixed doubles.
Moreover, qualifications will be held in the competitions of mixed doubles and groups in aerobics, mixed doubles and women in tempo and static exercises in acrobatics, as well as synchronized and individual competitions on trampoline.
Coming from 22 countries, 133 gymnasts are taking part in the competitions.
Such stars of world gymnastics as two-time absolute world champion Yana Kudryavtseva, Olympic silver medalist Filip Ude, multiple World Cup winner in rhythmic gymnastics, two-time absolute champion of Azerbaijan and the sports ambassador of the European Games Marina Durunda and many others are among them.
What makes this competition special is that it will be held on the same scheme with the First European Games. This will set a precedent in the history of gymnastics and a great opportunity for the masters of aerobics and acrobats to compete together with rhythmic and artistic gymnasts and trampoliners under one roof.
