National Gymnastics Arena will host another event on October 2 and 3, 2015 - the 22nd Baku Championship and Competitions among Age Categories in Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation said.

Athletes of Baku Gymnastics School, "Ocaq" Republican Olympic Lyceum, as well as representatives of Sumgayit and Balakan will take part in men's artistic gymnastics events. The winners to be defined in the all-around among youngsters, children and minors. And, the all-round final to be held among seniors, juniors and pre-juniors.

Baku Gymnastics School, "Ocaq" Sport Club and "Neftchi" will be represented at the competitions in women's artistic gymnastics. According to the tournament's regulations, seniors, youngsters, children and minors will compete in the events.

Within 2 days, spectators will see thrilling performances of the only Azerbaijani sportsman who became a five-time prizewinner of the 1st European Games, as well as gold medalist on parallel bars - Oleg Stepko, a bronze medalist in a team competition - Petro Pakhnyuk, participants of the 1st European Games in women's artistic gymnastics - Marina Nekrasova and Yuliya Inshina, to whom Mariia Smirnova also joins.

This is the last tournament for senior gymnasts before the year's major event - the World Championships to be held in Glasgow on October 23 and November 1. It gives a unique opportunity to the spectators to watch improved program of the athletes which they demonstrate at the year's major event.

Holding of different contests in the course of the competitions, will be of the spectators' special interest.
