A compulsory insurance bureau has been established in Azerbaijan in accordance with the new law On mandatory insurance, Executive Director Elkhan Guliyev told reporters on Wednesday.
"Only agreements on compulsory insurance of liability of owners of motor vehicles (CTP) are signed through the information system. We applied to the State Insurance with proposals to amend the insurance law, which will allow to sign contracts on mandatory insurance of
property liability insurance for the operation of real estate and insurance of passengers through using information system," Guliyev said.
He noted that the integration of the technical details of the Bureau information system into the information system of Ministry of Taxation, the State Traffic Police and the database on identity cards of the Interior Ministry is finalizing currently.
"It will require changes in legislation. We have already submitted our proposals, after the adoption of which we will connect the system to these databases. I think the integration will happen in the next month or two," Guliyev said.
