The commission on the sale of assets of the Kazakh National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" approved the sale of 15 companies to the private sector.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Kazyna"JSC Elena Bakhmutova made the remarks after the meeting of the fund`s commission on the sale of assets and facilities within complex plan of privatization for 2014-2016.
"We submit high-priority issues for the consideration of the commission. We also give recommendations to the Board of the fund over the list of facilities that will be reviewed for sale within the current year. I remind you that the ordinary method of sale within the regulations is auction or electronic competition, envisaging a number of conditions, which will be implemented at the site of the Finance Ministry. The work has started, and we hope that it will allow to proceed the sale of 15 facilities,"she said.
All 15 items will be sold through subsidiaries, but, guided by the general principles and rules approved by the fund's regulations and in accordance with the methodological recommendations, she said.
"The companies for repair and maintenance of rolling stock, namely: "Birzhan-Atyrau" LLP, "Bass Balkhash 2004" LLP, "Ak Beren" LLP, the companies engaged in cleaning and preparation of tank wagons for petroleum - "Yertys service" LLP, "Kazykurt-South" LLP and others are among them," the fund`s report said.
Furthermore, Bakhmutova said that the evaluation of the remaining assets is being completed, and the decision is expected from second participants on some of them in connection with the exercise of the pre-emptive right. Informative passport of all assets offered for sale in August, are available on the website of the fund and the specialized subsidiary - "Samruk-Kazyna Contract" LLP.
"It is planned to launch a" hot line" in the near future, through which all interested potential buyers can get information on privatization, the rules of participation in the auction, as well as separate assets," Bakhmutova said.
