Turkmenistan introduced amendments to the law "On State Support of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship", adopted on August 15, 2009.

The document notes that state support for social associations of small and medium-sized enterprises is carried out by bodies of state power and control, as well as local government.

The Turkmen government's message disseminated over a year ago said that private entrepreneurs of the country will get credits of 300 million Turkmen manats, or $100 million, in 2014.

In accordance with the decree of the president of Turkmenistan, the country's banks issue long-term and short-term loans to entrepreneurs on the submitted investment projects and business plans.

Turkmen entrepreneurs operate in various fields, namely construction, trade, catering, agriculture, industry, education, tourism, advertising and publishing.

In addition, local business actively participates in international tenders. Turkmenistan has a private bank Rysgal, entrepreneurs publish their own newspaper, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country has been founded.
