Official exchange rate of Azerbaijan’s national currency, the manat, against the US dollar was set at 1.6331 for Sept. 21, said Azerbaijan’s Central Bank (CBA) Sept. 20.
Thus, manat’s rate against the US dollar increased by 0.24 compared to the rate on Sept. 20.
The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) sold $72.4 million to 20 banks through an auction held by the CBA Sept. 20.
As much as $100 million was put up for the auction.
