Uzbekinvest receives 3.7% more of insurance premiums

Uzbekinvest National Export-Import Insurance Company, the biggest insurance company of Uzbekistan, increased collection of premiums up to 22.6 billion soums in January-March 2017, as compared to 21.8 billion soums in the same period of 2016 (growth by 3.7 percent), the company’s management told Trend.

In the total volume of collected premiums, voluntary insurance premiums amounted to 19.2 billion soums (an increase of 1.6 percent), on compulsory insurance – 3.4 billion soums (an increase of 17.2 percent).

Insurance premiums on compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of motor vehicles totaled 1.7 billion soums, as compared to 1.2 billion soums a year before (growth by 1.4 times), on compulsory civil liability insurance of employer – 1.5 billion soums (decline by 6.3 percent), on compulsory civil liability insurance of carrier – 174.3 million soums (growth by 33.1 percent).

Payment of insurance claims increased by 18.8 percent – up to 3.8 billion soums in the 1Q17.

Uzbekinvest National Export-Import Insurance Company has been operating since 1994. The company’s authorized capital totals $60 million.
