SOME STATES WILL BE INTERESTED IN LINKING KARS-AKHALKALAKI-TBILISI-BAKU LINE

A number of independents states will be interested in linking the Kars-Ahalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku railway line on the results of the project implementation, deputy Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Musa Panakhov told Trend on 14 July.

According to him, among these states are Russia, Kazakhstan, China and countries of the Central Asia, as the route will enable to carry out traffic not only via Azerbaijan and Turkey to Europe, but also to serve as the “gates” to the Mediterranean countries.

Panakhov noted, that talks with the European Union countries on linking the railway line Kars-Ahalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku to the TRACECA transport corridor are underway at the moment.
