AZERBAIJAN NOT TO COOPERATE WITH ARMENIA UNDER WTO UNTIL ACHIEVEMENT OF FINAL PEACE

Azerbaijan will not cooperation with Armenian under the World Trade Organization (WTO) under the achievement of final peace, Mahmud Mammadguliyev, the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, told
Trend.

According to Mammadguliyev, it does not contradict to WTO rules, Besides, Armenia undertook an obligation not to impede Azerbaijan’s entrance to the WTO. Even in the beginning of the talks with the WTO Azerbaijan achieved it, while the Armenian Foreign Minister officially affirmed it.

According to Mammadguliyev, Armenia entered the organization in 2001, as it appealed to the organization earlier (in 1993) and was admitted to the organization with definite compromises. However, today the country with weak economy faced with definite problems and is unable to implement its obligations. Therefore, the Armenian authorities appealed to the WTO with request to soften them.
