One of the board members of Turkey's Petkim petrochemical complex, Mehmet Emin Birpinar resigned, the Milliyet newspaper reported May 5.
The reasons for his resignation haven't been disclosed.
Petkim management board, elected in March 2016, included the head of SOCAR Turkey Enerji Kenan Yavuz, head of Investments Department at Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR Vagif Aliyev, SOCAR Vice President for Refining David Mammadov, SOCAR Vice President for Economic Issues Suleyman Gasimov, SOCAR Turkey Enerji's representative Farrukh Gasimov, independent members Tevfik Bilgin, Metin Kilci, Mehmet Emin Birpinar and Mehmet Bostan.
Petkim produces plastic packages, detergents, and is the sole Turkish producer of such products.
