The US company Westport Trading Europe Limited is carrying out renovation of an installation at the Seydi oil refinery in eastern Turkmenistan, the Turkmen government said in a message.
The capacity of the refinery will reach one million tons of car fuel per year after commissioning in the near future, according to the message.
At this stage, construction and installation work is being completed and phased commissioning of the equipment at the LCh-35/11-1000 catalytic reforming unit is being carried out.
This installation is designed for producing high-octane component used in the production of motor gasoline.
US experts replaced obsolete manufacturing equipment and fitted up the installation with a de-aromatization unit for light naphtha.
Turkmenistan plans to increase the refining capacities to 20 million tons in 2020, to 22 million tons in 2025 and to 30 million tons in 2030.
