The Black Sea terminal of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Kulevi, Georgia, has transhipped more than 22 million tons of oil and oil products since the start of its operation on May 16, 2008, a source in SOCAR told Trend.

The source noted that the Kulevi terminal is one of SOCAR’s most important investments in Georgia.

The terminal will continue the work to increase the volume of transhipment, the source said, adding in this context, opening of a new tank farm with a capacity of 70,000 cubic meters in 2016 was of great importance.

The terminal in Georgia’s Kulevi was commissioned in May 2008 and oil products’ transhipment started in June of the same year. The total capacity of the terminal is 10 million tons of oil cargo per year, including three million tons of oil, three million tons of diesel fuel and four million tons of fuel oil.
