ORP TO MAINTAIN DISTRIBUTION OF NAPHTA AMONG AZERI ENTREPRENEURS IN JULY

Oil&Gas Materials 28 June 2005 12:25 (UTC +04:00)

In July Azerneftyag Oil Refinery Plant will transfer the entire volume of naphta to the Azerkimya State Company, which uses the product as fuel in its rigs, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend. Azerneftyag is an independent exporter of oil products.

A total of 28,000 tons of naphta will be delivered to Azerkimya in July, the same June. The similar situation was observed in June when the Cabinet of Ministers instructed Azerneftyag to deliver its entire naphta output to covering the chemical industry’s demand instead of additional refinery of oil products at Heydar Aliyev ORP for production of gasoline.

Azerkimya purchases naphta from the SOCAR at the price of 842,200 manats (some $172) per ton. However, in case of additional refinery of naphta at Heydar Aliyev ORP the SOCAR will receive gasoline, which it sells at $400-450 per ton.

The SOCAR said this week it was resolved to deliver entire volume of straight-run mazut produced at Azerneftyag to additional refinery at Heydar Aliyev ORP, while the cracking mazut disengaged will be via the Georgian ports Poti to Batumi.

Around 100,000 tons of straight-run mazut will be delivered to Heydar Aliyev ORP for additional refinery.
