Turkey's gold imports fell by 80 percent in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the same period last year, amounting to 9.3 tons, the Turkish Anadolu agency reported.
Turkey in total imported 46.8 tons of gold last year. The country's gold imports decreased 9.1 times in March 2014, compared to the same period last year.
Turkey imported 18.3 tons of gold in March, 2013.
In total, Turkey imported 302,315 kilograms of gold n 2013.
