Caspian Pipeline Consortium increases oil shipment in 2013

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) shareholders increased the shipment of CPC Blend oil via the South Ozereyka-2 terminal by 5.5 percent - to 24.13 million tons in January-September 2013, a report posted on consortium's official website said on Monday.

Some 22.88 million tons of oil were shipped from the terminal in three quarters of the last year.

In September, shipment volumes amounted to 2.48 million tons of oil, compared to 2.63 million tons in the same period of 2012.

CPC shippers, conducting transportation and shipment of oil via the terminal are as follows in the order of connection:

- Tengizshevroil - the first to sign agreements - the volumes delivered provide for basic capacity utilisation of the system;

- Arman - affiliated shipper of the Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC currently owned by Shell;

- Embammunaygaz and Kazoil-Aktobe - affiliated shipper of Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC;

- CNPC-Aktobemunaygaz - deals with transporting and loading crude via the terminal using access to the Kazakh government;

- Litasko - affiliated shipper of LUKARKO B.V;

- Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. - the second shipper after Tengizchevroil in terms of volume of transported oil, affiliated with a number of CPC shareholders.

- NaftaTrans CJSC and affiliated companies authorized to supply CPC with the oil of Russian producers in accordance with the access rights of the Russian Federation.
