A U.S. State Department official will discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional issues during a visit to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent, according to the U.S. embassy in Uzbekistan.
Fatema Sumar, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs will also review economic integration as part of the 'New Silk Way' project.
During her visit on March 16-19, Sumar will meet with representatives of the government and business structures of the country.
She will also visit the city of Termez to discuss trans-boundary trade issues with businessmen and female entrepreneurs.
