Representatives of three political parties of Uzbekistan - Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP), the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Milliy Tiklanish (National revival, DPU) and the National Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival, People's Democratic Party) submitted the necessary documents for registration of presidential candidates of Uzbekistan to the Central Election Commission, said the Republican press center that covers the election.

The documents submitted to the Central Election Commission include applications of party leaders requesting registration, the decision and the minutes of the meeting of the supreme body of the party on nomination, the application of the presidential candidate on his consent to run, as well as signature sheets in his support.

Nomination of candidates is carried out by the supreme body of the party - the Congress, said the press center.

Currently, the parties have finished collecting signatures of electors in support of candidates nominated by them, according to the press center.

Special working groups established under the Central Election Commission, which include members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of public organizations, experts of the bodies of Internal Affairs, Justice, check the accuracy of the signature sheets.

The Central Election Commission will check and decide on the compliance of the submitted documents with the requirements of the electoral legislation within seven days, the press center said.

It was reported that four political parties operating in Uzbekistan were admitted to participate in the presidential election to be held on March 29.

Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) put forward Islam Karimov as a candidate for president, People's Democratic Party offers chairman of the central council of the party Hatamjon Ketmonov to this post, USDP - a chairman of the executive committee of the party Narimon Umarov, DPU Milliy Tiklanish - a member of the faction of the party in the parliament, chairman of the Committee on Democratic Institutions, NGOs and Citizens' Self-Governing Bodies Akmal Saidov.
