Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Abu Dhabi to take part in the Iran-UAE Joint High Economic Commission session.
The Iranian top diplomat is accompanied by foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham in the visit, the country's IRNA news agency reported on April 14.
Zarif's UAE visit provides a suitable opportunity for Iran and the UAE to discuss main bilateral, regional and international issues.
The foreign ministers of both countries, representatives of private and public sectors and members of Iran and UAE chambers of commerce will be present in the second session of Iran-UAE Joint Economic Commission.
