Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ali Tayyebnia has appointed Mohammad Reza Hosseinzadeh as the new head of Bank Melli Iran.
Hosseinzadeh earlier served as a member of board of directors at Bank Melli and will replace former head of the bank Abdolnaser Hemmati, Mehr news agency reported.
Meanwhile, Abdolnaser Hemmati will chair Central Insurance Company of Iran, the report added.
Following corruption accusations against Central Insurance Company of Iran, the former head of the insurance company, Mohammad Ebrahim Amin, resigned in mid-May.
