Iran Khodro, the Islamic Republic’s largest carmaker, has unveiled two new products, Peugeot A 207 and Dena Plus.

Keivan Zargar, an official with the company, has said that Peugeot A 207 is the upgraded model of Peugeot 207 in order to meet the needs of Iranian families, ILNA news agency reported.

He forecasted that the first Peugeot A 207 cars will hit the market by September.

While speaking about Dena Plus, the official said that Dena Plus is an upgraded model of Dena with improved safety standards.

Zargar added that the company plans to supply the first Dena Plus cars by April.

Some 233,000 Peugeot vehicles were produced in Iran over the last year under a license by the French carmaker.

Iran Khodro is Iran's major automaker, producing about 600,000 cars a year.
