Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that Tehran has not abandoned its principles in the nuclear talks with the P5+1 group of countries.

"The other side knows that it can no longer deprive itself from having goods relations with Iran," he said, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on October 7.

He went on to note that Iran will always pursue its nuclear right.

"Iran ad powerful country in the region," Velayati said, adding that Tehran will continue supporting Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.

He further expressed hope that fight against terrorism continue in future. Velayati made the remarks at a meeting with Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin in Tehran.
