Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Belarus plays an important role in the Eastern European region.
Zarif made this statement following a meeting with Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makeev, BelTA reported.
"The role of Belarus in this region is very important, especially in terms of resolving the conflict in Ukraine," the minister said.
He expressed the hope that the agreements reached in Minsk as part of the "Norman meeting" will facilitate the settlement of a difficult situation.
