By Khalid Kazimov – Trend:

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has criticized Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's former intelligence chief, for participating at an Iranian opposition group’s annual meeting in Paris.

Zarif said the participation of Turki bin Faisal Al Saud at the event, organized by the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in Paris on July 9, was a sign of the Saudi prince’s “incompetence”, ISNA news agency reported July 12.

Describing the MKO as a “terrorist group”, Zarif said taking part in such events is considered as “expressing support for terrorism”.

The Iranian minister made the remarks upon his arrival at Astana airport.

He is in Kazakh capital of Astana to take part in a ministerial meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states.
