Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says he has not contacted the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson since the new administration assumed power in Washington.
Saying that Tehran does not impose any restrictions on interaction and holding talks with the US officials regarding the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA/ nuclear deal, Zarif added that Iran will not renegotiate the nuclear deal, ISNA news agency reported.
According to the top diplomat, Iranian officials at the Foreign Ministry contact their counterparts in the US Department of State and also Treasury to follow up on the implementation of the nuclear accord but Zarif himself has not held any talks with his new American counterpart, Rex Tillerson.
Iran and the world powers in 2015 reached a historic deal on the country's nuclear program removing sanctions on the Islamic Republic in exchange for curbing the country's nuclear program.
