The cause of death of Baku residents Elkhan Bayramzade and Elchin Aliyev was an incident that arose on the basis of traffic conflict, the joint statement by the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan says.
On Sunday, January 6 at 18:00 inhabitants of the village Balakhani Asad Aliyev, his son Mohammed and his brother Seymour on the grounds of conflict over firearms injured residents of Baku Elchin Aliyev and Musayev Sadiq and stabbed Elkhan Bayramzade. Despite the fact that the wounded were immediately taken to the city hospital № 3, Elkhan Bayramzade and Elchin Aliyev died.
Police officers and prosecutors, along with the medical examiner examined the bodies, withdrew one Makarov pistol, five cartridges and a knife from the scene, and held other necessary arrangements as well.
The prosecutor's office of Sabunchu district initiated criminal cases under articles 120.1 (deliberate murder), 29, 120.2.7 (attempt of murder of two or more persons) and 228.1 (illegal purchase, possession, transportation of firearms) of the Criminal Code; prosecutor of Baku are encharged with conducting further investigations.
The investigation revealed that the day before the incident between Asad Aliyev and Sadiq Musayev, conflict arose because the parties didn't give way to each other. At that time, Sadiq Musayev and Elkhan Bayramzade punched Asad Aliyev. The next day Assad Aliyev, his son Mohammed and his brothers Seymour and Teymur, meeting with the other party in the village of Balakhani, tried to clarify the issue. However, the conflict became more acute, resulting in opening fire with Makarov pistol by Teymur Aliyev at Elchin Aliyev and Sadiq Musayev; Magomed Aliyev stabbed a knife in Elkhan Bayramzade's heart.
As a result of the urgent investigative steps Asad and Magomed Aliyevs were arrested on Jan. 7 in Baku, Aliyev Seymour was arrested in Yevlakh region.
Currently, search operations aimed at identifying and bringing other crime participants to the investigation in are undertaken.
