The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has strongly condemned a terror act committed in the city of Mansoura city in Egypt which resulted in civilian casualties.

'"The Republic of Azerbaijan, as a country is suffering from terrorism and deplores all forms and manifestations of terrorism and reiterates the necessity of strengthening the efforts of the international community to fight against the terrorism', a statement of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry said on Dec.25.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also extended its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this terror.

A strong explosion took place on Dec.24 in front of the police headquarters in Mansoura, 120 kilometres from Cairo. According to Egyptian intelligence, a car filled with explosives and driven by a suicide bomber exploded. According to the latest information 15 people were killed and hundreds injured as a result of the terror act.
