NATO Secretary-General received the Turkmen Defense Minister, Major General Yaylym Berdiyev in Brussels, the NATO website reported.
The Rasmussen-Berdiyev meting was not open for press, the source reported.
NATO noted that relations with Turkmenistan must be considered under the "Partnership for Peace" framework, to which Turkmenistan joined in 1994.
Turkmenistan strictly holds a neutral policy and does not provide its military forces and facilities for use of the NATO-led operations.
NATO and Turkmenistan actively cooperate in security, science and environment.
