Iran has imposed quarantine on 370 schools at the Iranian Isfahan province under the appropriate measures to prevent spread of the swine flue, the Iranian Mehr news agency reported.

So far, about 70 pupils infected with this virus were hospitalized in this province. Moreover, the number of the people infected with A/H1N1 has reached 50 in the Kashan city and about 250 schools were closed because of this.

"The number of people infected with A/H1N1 ("Swine flue") has reached 1,638 with 28 fatalities," Director of the Center for Infectious Disease under the Iranian Health ministry, Mohammed Mehdi Guya said.

The virus was mainly observed among people aged 7-24, Guya added.
