An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kyrgyzstan on May 28, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under Education and Science Ministry reported.
The earthquake occurred at 8:25 a.m. local time (2:25 a.m. Greenwich time), 194 kilometres to the south-west from the city of Almaty.
There is no information about victims or damage.
