The third Kazakh-British oil logistics forum will be held in Atyrau (Western Kazakhstan) Oct. 30-31, JSC National Agency for the Development of Local Content (NADLoC) said.
"The main objective of the forum is to assist in the formation of long-term business relations between Kazakhstan and British oil sector companies, to increase the share of local content, and create new opportunities for cooperation in this field," the statement said.
100 Kazakh companies, as well as representatives of JSC KazMunaiGas, Samruk-Kazyna Contract, Samruk-Kazyna Invest and other development institutions and industry associations will arrive to represent Kazakh interests.
Representatives of 35 major British oil and gas sector companies will also participate, with the intent to sign long-term partnerships with Kazakhstan.
The forum is jointly organized by the Department of Trade and Investment of UK (UKTI), Shell company of Kazakhstan, BG Kazakhstan, and NADLoC with the support of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.
