Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are the first candidates to enter the Eurasian economic union, Minister of Eurasian economic comission Tatyana Valova told journalists in Monday, RIA Novosti reported.
She added that nobody knows which countries will be among the Union's members on Jan. 1, 2015, but Kyrgyzstan is already among the candidates.
Everything will depend on the negotiation process, Valova said.
She believes that politically motivated joining the union is imposible.
"We are seriously interested in the widening of the integration. Nobody is interested in members, which joined the Union due to political matters," she said.
