A Spanish company producing industrial devices has denied the accusation that nuclear equipment has been sold to Iran, IRNA reported.
Police accused Fluval, located in the northern region of Basque Country that it violated the UN and the EU sanctions against Iran through selling industrial valves the country.
The company immediately reacted to the accusation by issuing a statement, denying the charge. It said that its trade activities have always fallen within framework of international regulations.
Fluval said that all its trade activities are upon legal authorization, meanwhile, the valves are not usable in nuclear energy sector.
Company pointed out that its activity started around five decades ago and by having 600 employees has a wide experience in producing industrial valves for gas and oil industries.
Spain National Police in a statement, which was published through Interior Ministry, claimed that it had produced valves of the company, suspected to be used in Iran's nuclear program, so they arrested two directors of the company, confiscating a number of equipment, computers and instruments.
Two months ago, Spain's government accused another company of selling industrial portholes to be used in Iran's nuclear installation, but the company immediately called the accusation 'baseless'.
