Security forces eliminated two members of the PKK terrorist organization (Kurdistan Workers' Party) in the Darkecid district of the Turkish province of Mardin, CNN Turk TV channel’s website reported.

Security forces eliminated two members of the PKK terrorist organization (Kurdistan Workers' Party) in the Darkecid district of the Turkish province of Mardin, CNN Turk TV channel's website reported.

"A clash took place between the security forces and a group of terrorists near the Badur village on Tuesday night. As a result, two of the terrorists were killed and one wounded. The rest managed to escape," the province's governor Senol Kaya told journalists.

According to him, the wounded man was taken to the Batman State Hospital, and the security forces conduct search operation to arrest escaped terrorists.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has claimed more than 40,000 lives. The UN and the EU recognized PKK as a terrorist organization.
