US embassy attack not related with Syria - Turkish PM

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan ruled out possibility that Friday's deadly suicide bombing at the US Embassy in Turkey was linked to the situation inSyria, AA reported.

"I don't reach to a conclusion that this incident is related with Syria," Erdogan told a televised interview on private Haberturk channel.

The suicide blast Friday at a checkpoint outside the embassy compound killed the bomber and a security guard as well as seriously wounding a Turkish woman.
Erdogan said DHKP-C, an outlawed leftist group in Turkey, was responsible for theattack.

The group recognized as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the European Union.

"We have [the bomber's] name and birth place. But as the premier it is always my principle to speak only after receiving the final result, but I can definitely say that it is DHKP-C," Erdogan said.

On the other hand, Erdogan sent a message to US President Barack Obama, expressing sadness over the deadly suicide bomb attack on the US Embassy in the Turkish capital.
"The terrorist act on theUS Embassy is also anattack on Turkey. This incident has shown that the continuation and strengthening of the existing partnership between Turkey and the US against terrorism is crucial," Erdogan said in his message.
Erdogan said Turkish security forces and intelligence agencies exerted every effort to shed light on the incident and bring before justice those who were responsible for theattack.
