Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is paying a working visit to the U.S.
According to the presidential administration, the president will participate at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly and address the Assembly on September 25.

Saakashvili told the media that he will pay special attention to the occupation of Georgia's territory and its negative consequences.

This is Saakashvili's last speech at the UN General Assembly as president.
Mikheil Saakashvili was also invited to a reception in connection with the opening of the session. It will be organised on behalf of the U.S president and first lady.

Moreover, the president will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various countries and take part in various events during the visit to the U.S.

In particular, he will attend a summit on maintaining civil society and a reception at the opening of the 'Concordia in 2013' summit.
