The U.S. wants to see "the corresponding relations between Georgia and Russia", the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland said at a press conference, held in Tbilisi on Dec. 5.

According to her, during meetings with the Russian side, Georgia is always considered as a partner and friend of the U.S.

"During the visit to Moscow it will be stated that the U.S. strongly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. We want to see the corresponding relations between the two neighbours, also see more progress in settlement of the issue of occupation," Victoria Nuland said.
