U.S Deputy Secretary of State Philip Gordon has met with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili today at the end of his three-day visit to Tbilisi.

The Georgian presidential administration told Trend that Mikheil Saakashvili and Philip Gordon have discussed the situation in Georgia, which was formed after the opposition's victory in the parliamentary elections.

The parties have also discussed the prospects of developing the bilateral relations, stressing the inevitability of strategic cooperation between Georgia and the U.S.

U.S. Ambassador Richard Norland and Georgian National Security Council Secretary Giga Bokeria have also attended the meeting.
