Georgian Parliament supported the appointment of the two judges of the Supreme Court - Nino Bakakuri and Zurab Dzlierashvili for a 10-year term on a plenary session Oct.17.

It should be recalled that these two nominees submitted by the president failed on the voting about two and a half months ago.

After the first unsuccessful attempt to be elected, which was due to the fact that deputies from the ruling Georgian Dream coalition didn't support the candidates nominated by the president, Giorgi Margvelashvili re-introduced the same candidates to the legislature in order to fill two vacancies in the Supreme Court of the country in late September.

This time, some 93 deputies voted for Nino Bakakuri, and some 99 deputies - for Zurab Dzlierashvili.

Bakakuri gained 29 votes and Dzlierashvili - 27 votes during the voting of August 1, 2014.
