Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has refused to make a statement on the situation in the country before returning to the homeland.

The head of state has already left Vienna where he was on a visit, Georgian Presidential Administration said.

Margvelashvili intends first to get acquainted with the situation in the country and then make a statement.

Earlier today, it was reported that the president will make an important statement on the current situation in the country.

The president earlier said that a country shouldn't be governed from behind the scenes. His remarks were addressed to the country's former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.
As it turned out, Ivanishvili has actively participated in the activities of the political council of the Georgian Dream coalition in the last two days.

Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Following Alasania's resignation, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze resigned as well.
