The international community has to team up for funnelling more investment into global war against terror, US State Secretary John Kerry said at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Friday.

"Leader after leader in country after country has said that fighting the scourge of violent extremism is a global priority, let us prove it. We have to get serious about investing into things that really make a difference," Kerry said.

Kerry stressed that everyone, including governments, foundations, NGOs, corporations, faith leaders and private sector have to be involved in investing more into fight with terrorism. This will be the priority of Summit on Countering Violent Extremism at the White House on February 18, the secretary added.

"Historically, this is important, when we have believed we need to do something, we found the money, we did it, we found the resolve, we made things happen," Kerry said.
The State Secretary reminded that when the United States and its allies decided that fighting fascism is a priority, they found 3.6 trillion dollars for that, as well as they managed to find several trillion dollars for the war in Iraq.

"Make no mistake, if we do not make those investments today, we will pay far more for it down the road," Kerry underscored.

Today terrorist organizations are competing each other for recruits and are governing lands, which is unprecedented, Kerry said.
