The aircraft's commander Ilyas Karagulle said none of the passengers was injured.

Previously it was reported that a signal about hijacking has been received from a Turkish aircraft owned by Pegasus Airlines, which was conducting flights from Ukrainian city of Kharkiv to Istanbul.

The hijacker said that he has a bomb and that he wants to move the plane to Russian city of Sochi, which hosts Winter Olympics.

The plane landed at the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. It was also reported that a Turkish F-16 fighter was deployed.

There were 110 passengers on board the plane.

It was also reported that the airport was completely closed. The intelligence services could not get on a plane and disarm the hijacker due to explosion threat.
